It's Kind Of A Funny Story (Blog #2)

Is Craig's depression real? Why is it important that the book is written in first person? How does it enhance our awareness of his depression? Give me three examples of the seriousness or not seriousness of his depression from part one and two and explain each of the examples.

  1. Craig's depression is real because there are actual reasons for it. If it wasn't written in first person, the reasons wouldn't be clear and it would just look like stereotypical depression. His body rejects anything he tries to eat and he can't sleep. The fact that his body doesn't react well to simple things proves that his depression is real.
