Describe Petruchio's actions at the wedding. Why was he dressed the way he was? Why did he behave in such a way? He embarrassed himself for what purpose? How did Kate react? Is there reason for this or is he just simply an ass?
Petruchio doesn’t seem to care much about the wedding itself because he shows up late, tries to get out of there as quick as he can to “take care of something super important” and dresses like he just couldn’t give a shit. Kate thinks he’s not going to show up at all because he never even intended to marry her. When he’s saying that he has to leave Kate tells him to go.
